O JOIO e o TRIGO.
E aconteceu que no tempo apropriado para a seifa do trigo,
Estava tambem presente entre ele,
Espalhado esparsamente e mantendo-se como que oculto
Pela aparencia de bom fruto e de boa semente, o JOIO,
Cujas folhas eram de mesma natureza, de porte vistoso, e
Que em tudo se assemelhava ás folhas amarelo douradas
De seu analogo confinante, em tudo agregado ao mesmo solo,
Recebendo a mesma agua e os raios de mesmo sol.
Mas dentro de si levava o joio a obscuridade profunda de outro coraçao.
Veio entao o ceifador com a ceifadeira afiada,
De golpes rasteiros e definitivamente cortantes,
Desferindo os golpes finais da colheita separante,
Recolhendo por si, o TRIGO.
The Weed and the Wheat.
And it so happened that in the appropriate time for the wheat harvest,

Then the harvester came with the sharp scythes,
Striking final blows of the dividing harvest.
Pretending to be good fruit and good seed, the weed,
